This policy describes Routine Plus and routineplus.app. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@routineplus.app. We update this page if our information practices change.
Information stored in the app
Routine Plus stores tasks, habits, completion history, categories, scores, rewards, preferences, trial start time, and a cached Premium entitlement on your device. The app does not require a Routine Plus account or offer developer-operated cloud synchronization. App analytics and rewards are calculated from locally stored activity.
Trial and Google Play purchases
The 16-day full-access period begins when the app first records your trial start time on the device. If you choose a Premium subscription, Google Play handles checkout, payment information, and subscription management. The app obtains product, purchase, and entitlement information through Google Play Billing and stores a time-limited local record of Premium access so features can work during temporary offline periods. We do not operate a separate purchase account or receive your payment-card details through the app.
App analytics and advertising
The app code reviewed for this update does not include third-party advertising, remote analytics, or crash-reporting integrations. Its Analytics screens calculate insights from activity stored on your device; they are not a third-party tracking service.
Notifications and device settings
If you enable reminders, Routine Plus uses local notifications and your device time zone to schedule them. Android may request notification and exact-alarm permissions. Reminder scheduling may resume after a device restart. You can manage these permissions through your device settings.
Device backups and deletion
Your operating system may include app databases and preferences in its device or cloud backups, subject to its settings. Those backups are managed by the platform provider, not by Routine Plus. You can delete individual entries in the app or use your device’s app-data controls. Uninstalling generally removes local app data, but platform backups or manually exported files may remain and may restore data later; manage them separately.
Manual export and import
During full-access trial or Premium, you can export a Routine Plus backup using your device’s file picker. The exported .routineplus file contains tasks, habits, categories, history, rewards, and certain app settings. It is a readable JSON backup and is not encrypted by the app. You choose where it is saved and whether to share it; if saved to cloud storage or sent to someone else, that provider or recipient may process its contents. Importing a selected file replaces the corresponding local app data and supported settings after confirmation. Backup files exclude your trial start time and Premium entitlement, which remain tied to the app and Google Play rather than being restored from the file.
Website information and cookies
Visiting the website involves sending technical information, such as an IP address, browser information, and the requested page, to the website and its hosting infrastructure. Hosting and security services may process this information to deliver and protect the website. WordPress uses cookies for administrative sign-in. Hosted services and embedded resources may also process requests under their own privacy practices. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
When you contact us
If you email support, we receive your email address, your message, and any attachments you provide. We use this information to respond, troubleshoot, and handle your request. Email and hosting providers process information needed to deliver their services. Send only information relevant to your request.
Retention, security, and your choices
Local activity and settings remain under your device’s controls. Manually exported backups remain wherever you save them until you delete them; we cannot retrieve or delete copies you keep outside the app. Google Play and device backup providers manage their own records under their policies. Support correspondence is retained as needed to address your request and applicable obligations. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold. Contact us to make a request; we cannot remotely access or erase data that exists only on your device.
Children and policy changes
Routine Plus is a general-purpose productivity tool. If you believe a child has provided personal information through support or the website, contact us so we can review and address it. Future versions may introduce different features; material changes to information handling will be reflected in an updated policy.
